Quick Hit: The first AVENGERS 'trailer' has landed
So this is how it's going to be.
With memories of the debut "Avengers" assemblage at Comic-Con beginning to fade, Marvel Studios now is apparently going to tease the public at large every few weeks with some new bit of Avenging "news."
And you know what? We'll scoff, grumble -- and absolutely eat it up.
Today, for worldwide beyond-the-Con consumption, is that first "Avengers" trailer, though we use the term "trailer" oh-so-loosely. It's really a teaser ad for two things: (1) The silvery-black logo; and (2) Samuel L. Jackson's ever-sonorous voiceover.
So, here 'tis -- the first of Marvel's many cinematic breadcrumbs: "And there came a day ... a day unlike any other ... when Earth's mightiest heroes found themselves united against a common threat ..."
