Update: SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON registration set for Nov. 22
To us, it's as big an announcement as who will next wear the Superman suit (with or without the hoodie) or who his next big-screen villain might be:
San Diego Comic-Con has now announced that attendee registration for the 2011 event will begin Nov. 22 at 6 a.m. PT.
Comic-Con International, which draws more than 125,000 fans over four-plus days, says it will allow online registration only (no onsite registration). In recent years, the event has sold out months in advance. And this year, admission to the 2011 Preview Night sold out before the 2010 'Con had even ended.
The already announced special guests for the 2011 'Con (July 21-24 at the Convention Center) include "Watchmen" artist Dave Gibbons, Mark Tatulli ("Lio" and "Heart of the City"), Frank Stack ("Our Cancer Year" with Harvey Pekar and Joyce Brabner) and Comics Buyers Guide editor Maggie Thompson.
Comic-Con announced last month that it will stay in San Diego till 2015.
