NEW YEAR'S DAIS: 6 Swell Cartoons for Ringing in 2011
As 2010 hits the bottle and bids adieu, 2011 enters fresh and swaddled and innocent, its baby bottle of expectations as blindingly bright as Ryan Seacrest's bleached smile. To which we can only say: "Poor baby."
To gird for 2011 once you've slept off the last foggy remnants of 2010, here is Comic Riffs' own special concoction to tame that hangover: A sampling of some of the best New Year's cartoons. They range from Mark Fiore's "YEAR IN REVIEW" to today's tearful goodbye to Brenda Starr, who's retiring for good Sunday after seven decades on America's comics page.
So take two aspirin, six cartoons and a whole pot of fresh joe, because 1-1-11 has pulled into the station and there's one sure-to-be-shocked baby on board:
