Turkey Trot
Yay! More Thanksgiving turkeys came in, welcome additions to our 2008 turkey gallery. Tina from Fairfax sent in this scrumptious breast. "It may not look like much," she wrote, "but it was wonderful -- I tried brining for the first time and I don't think I'll ever make a turkey any other way!"

Far be it from us to be meatist here at "John Kelly's Commons." Here's the Tofurkey that John from Baltimore celebrated Thanksgiving with. "Surprisingly delicious," he wrote.

Thanks, Tina, John and Pam for sharing your Thanksgiving meals with us.

Bubble1 - it's actually bits of rosemary and other herbs from the brine, but yes, it does look a bit like a smiley face, doesn't it? (Totally unintentional, I swear!)

Um, is that a smiley face on that turkey in the first picture (across the keel bone)?
