Photo Flashback Week: Hair of the Dog Edition
This is one of those photos where you really need a caption to tell you what's going on:
It ran in The Post on March 9, 1966, with this caption: MARKED DOG -- Rep. Joseph Y. Resnick (D-N.Y.) and his legislative assistant, Shirley Downs, hold Resnick's pet dog, Jammy, as Anita T. Monclova of New York applies a tattoo mark on the animal. Mrs. Monclova has formed a National Pet Registry which, for a $10 fee, keeps a record of a pet's tattoo marks to assist owners in tracing their pets when the animals are lost or are stolen by "petnappers."
Can you come up with a better caption? Leave it in the Comments section below.
