Assault With a Driven Weapon
You ever notice how things sometimes come in clusters? No, not just breakfast cereals, but things like celebrity deaths. Even comic strips occasionally align, giving you a weird feeling of deja vu as you notice that both "Beetle Bailey" and "Hagar the Horrible" have chosen the same day to address harridan mother-in-laws. What are the odds of that?!
The same thing happens with news stories. That's why I wasn't surprised to see this story about a woman in Bethesda losing control of her car and crashing into a hair salon a scant day after this story about a man who was learning to drive losing control of a van and driving into an apartment. (That neither man actually had a license is just a little treat for readers.)
Where will the next vehicle end up? An ice cream parlor? A hospital emergency room? A joint session of Congress?

Isn't the real question, "When is 'Cops' going to film in the DC area?" We've got to see stupid people from all over the country embarrass themselves, their friends and family, but when will we see the mean streets of Chevy Chase or Old Town Alexandria come under the unblinking eye of the Fox camera lenses?
