Mulligans: McCain and Snooki, Obama and Sitting Bull

By Dana Milbank

It had long been predicted that once he dispatched his conservative primary challenger, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) would revert to his maverick ways. Now we have proof. "Happy birthday @SnOOki," the 74-year-old lawmaker Tweeted to the "Jersey Shore" star on the occasion of her 23rd birthday. Nicole Polizzi, aka Snooki, wrote back: "Thabk you Johnny ! :) xox."

Seems the Tea Partyers of Arkansas have come up with an unexpectedly strong brew. They elected to the state House one Loy Mauch, a member of the secessionist League of the South who calls the Confederate flag "a symbol of Jesus Christ."

Speaking of symbols of Jesus Christ, residents of Phoenix began expressing concern that - horrors! -- a mosque was being built in the area. But it turns out the domed structure rising up along Interstate 10 is a Christian church.

Our Indonesian-Kenyan-socialist president is at it again! He published a picture book titled "Of Thee I Sing: A Letter to My Daughters," which includes a passage on Sitting Bull. Fox News's headline: "Obama Praises Indian Chief Who Killed U.S. General."

It looks like “Snooki” Polizzi has also reverted to her old ways. According to Wikipedia: “MTV first introduced Polizzi in Is She Really Going Out with Him?, a show that focused on women dating obnoxious or arrogant men.”

Enraged when the City of Hot Springs put in a statue of Abraham Lincoln in 2004, Mr. Mauch led a conference with a keynote address entitled, “Homage To John Wilkes Booth.” Expect a statue of Mr. Booth to be placed directly behind Mr. Lincoln any day now!

The Phoenix domed church scandal is NOT over. Even after a large, Christian cross on top of the church was completed, 25% of Phoenix Republicans STILL think it is a mosque.

Maybe “Fox News” needs a new name that more accurately reflects what they do. If I were writing your mulligan headline, it would read, “Spitting Bull News Spits Bull At Sitting Bull.” (Say that 5 times fast)

Sorry but you and your geek get another “Milbankagain” for the dead Fox News link. And I claim the “Geekagain” for finding this one: http://nation.foxnews.com/media/2010/11/15/obama-praises-indian-chief-who-killed-us-general

"Our Indonesian-Kenyan-socialist president is at it again!" Mr. Milbank why must you choose ignorance over intelligence? This is the 21st century and it does not matter his nationalities, Mr. Obama is an American citizen!

Sitting Bull should include a passage about President Obama. After all, he's getting 4.6 Billion (that's billion with a "B") dollars from the federal government. How do you like them apples, taxpayers?
