Yo! Tony Bagels got pinched by the feds!
Okay, so maybe the Mafia -- the old one of Carlo Gambino and Don Corleone -- isn't as powerful or efficient as it once was. Maybe drugs, rats, the RICO statute and the violent rise of other ethnically based criminal organizations over the years have combined with the thinning La Cosa Nostra gene pool to leave mostly numbskulls and nitwits running the only Mob we used to know.
But say this about them: As the Village Voice points out, they're still pretty good at nicknames.
