Descriptions of Alexandria robbery suspects released

Alexandria police on Friday released a photo of a man they believed robbed a 72-year-old man of his wallet as he was getting out of his car.

Police think he had an armed accomplice. Police said that about 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 23, the pair approached the man in the 5300 block of Holmes Run Parkway. One of them displayed a handgun. The victim wasn’t injured.

One of the suspects. (Alexandria police.)

Police offered these descriptions of the two. The guy in the photo is a black man believed to be between 20 and 25 years old, 5’10" to 6’”, weighing 170 to 190 pounds. He was seen wearing a black hooded jacket or sweatshirt, jeans and black and white sneakers.

His buddy: A black man in his 20s, 5’9” to 6’0” tall, with a light mustache – last seen wearing a hooded raincoat and dark pants. Police believe he had the gun.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call Detective Sean Casey at 703-838-4079 or a tip-line, 703-838-4858.
