Police rule Arlington street death a homicide

Arlington police have identified the man who was found dead Tuesday morning on a county street as Carl Diener, 57, and are investigating his death as a homicide.
Rescue workers found Diener, who lives in north Arlington, at 2:50 a.m. in the 3200 block of N. 13th Street, authorities said.
Police said Diener was stabbed to death, but said they are still investigating the death and do not yet have a motive for the killing.

I haven't seen or talked to Carl Diener in probably 20 years but he was a good guy. What a shame.
