Emergency responders are on the scene of a basement chemical spill at the Capitol Hilton downtown, according to D.C. officials.
A pipe broke in a nonpublic area of the hotel at 1001 16th Street NW about 8:30 a.m., and workers have cordoned off L Street, causing traffic delays.
"There is minimal impact on hotel guests," Fire/EMS spokesman Pete Piringer said.
