Man robs D.C. Giant supermarket

D.C. police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who held up a Giant supermarket at gunpoint on Brentwood Road Tuesday morning.

At 6:15 am, according to policem a man walked into the store, in the 1000 block of Brentwood Road NE, knocked on the cash office door and showed a gun.

He announced a robbery, then tied up an employee and left the store with cash.

Police describe him as 35 to 45 years old, about five-feet-six to five-feet-nine, and about 150 to 175 pounds.

He was wearing a black cap, black jacket, and black pants, and a yellow shirt.

Police ask anyone with information about the case to call police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIM[E].

There's usually a cop working there, but I guess it was too early in the a.m.

Definitely looks like he's wearing a Giant employee outfit. I knew they were ripping me off!
