Md. man charged with killing wife

A man police said called 911 Tuesday night and said he had just killed his wife has been charged with first-degree murder, Montgomery County police said.
Detectives found Elizabeth Velez Vasquez, 33, dead in her apartment in the 1000 block of Quebec Terrace.

Her husband, Bernardo Paz Flores-Olvera, 32, is being held without bond, police said. He has a bail review hearing scheduled for Thursday at 1 p.m. in Rockville District Court.
The husband and wife lived together with their three children, according to police.
Police say Flores-Olvera stabbed his wife with a knife and another sharp instrument, both of which were recovered by investigators. Two of their children, ages three months and two years, were home at the time of the assault. Flores-Olvera later took them to a family member's home, according to police.
