Montgomery teen dies after crash

A December car accident in Montgomery County involving three teens turned fatal last week when one of them died.
Alexander Howard Popeck, 17, of the 18700 block of Rolling Acres Way in Olney, died Friday at an area hospital.
He was driving a Suzuki XL-7 on Dec. 12 when the vehicle left the road and hit a tree, police said. It happened at 10 a.m. at the intersection of New Hampshire Avenue and Brooke Road in Brinklow.
Passengers Uikram George Siberry, 15, and Nicholas Scott Johnson, 16, both of Olney, sustained serious injuries. All three were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision, according to police.
Police ask anyone with information about the crash to call 301-840-2435.
