Police ID man killed during commute
D.C. Police have identified Oswaldo Hernandez-Cruz, 41, as the man killed by a falling tree while sitting in traffic in Northwest Wednesday night.
Hernandez-Cruz, of the 2100 block of Guilford Road in Hyattsville, was the driver of a car in the 1700 block of Military Road when the tree slammed onto the car, police said.
Three other passengers in the car were rescued by emergency workers.
