A reckless driver was on the loose early Monday morning in Frederick, police said, smashing into 18 parked cars, a tree and a traffic sign before crashing into a fence.

Nobody was injured, according to police.

Biggus. (Frederick Police)

Frederick police found the banged-up vehicle with the driver inside at about 2:20 a.m. behind the Allegheny Power site near East Church Street and Pine Avenue.

Cars were hit on West Fourth Street, Dill Avenue and Fifth Street. Two gates to the perimeter fence at Allegheny Power were also damaged.

The driver, Austina M. Biggus, 34, of Walkersville, was arrested and charged with hit-and-run, driving under the influence and driving while intoxicated.

I'm not sure I'd classify hitting 18 parked cars as driving of any form...reckless, intoxicated or other. That has to be some kind of record.

Drunks seem to get even more stupid and reckless during the holiday season. I feel bad for my neighbors who woke up expecting to go to work today, but instead found their vehicles smashed. But it's a blessing they weren't in their cars while this drunk was on his destructive rampage.

And she's even smiling for the mug shot.
BTW, did you know that you can look up rap sheets in the Maryland Judiciary System web site ...

I don't think stuntmen crash into 18 cars during a movie shoot. She was feeling real nice I see.

She looks pretty unconcerned in the mug shot photo...I guess that's what car insurance is for.
You'd think there would be at least some remorse. If for no other reason the inconvenience to 18 other people who had their cars smacked...but it sure doesn't seem to come through in that mug shot.
