Woman killed in Fairfax crash

A 57-year-old woman was killed Wednesday night when her BMW was struck by another car in the Lorton area, according to Fairfax County police.
Sharon Parrish, of the 7900 block of Blooms Road, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident happened at 9:10 p.m., when Parrish was driving north on Ox Road and was trying to make a left turn onto Henderson Road. Her car was hit by a Chevrolet driven by a 27-year-old man, police said.
Investigators believe speed contributed to the crash, police said.
