All through the year, police and fire agencies devote a lot of resources to promoting public awareness campaigns in the hopes of increasing public safety.
D.C. Fire and EMS public information officer Pete Piringer has taken the craft to new heights this holiday season.
Piringer recorded this ditty for WTOP radio (103.5 FM) on Christmas Eve, in which he used the art of poetry (and poetice license from a classic Christmas poem), to ask folks to remember their smoke alarms and sprinkler systems.
