50-lb. tortoise stolen in Delaware
Police in New Castle County, Del., are looking for a 50-pound tortoise stolen from a Wilmington-area store.
The brown and tan African Sulcata Tortoise named Roger has roamed the Greenbank Aquarium store during business hours for the last 15 years, but police say he was stolen on Friday afternoon.
An employee of the store told police that the tortoise is able to open the front door, but he wasn't found when the surrounding area and businesses were checked.
Billy Williams, the tortoise's owner, says he's had Roger since the tortoise was the size of a tennis ball. He's offering a reward for information that gets Roger back to him.
