1 dead, three hurt in Md. crash
Anne Arundel County authorities say a woman is dead and three people are severely injured after a car went off the road in Laurel and crashed into a family taking a break from a bicycle ride.
Anne Arundel County police say 63-year-old Ramota Oluyemisi Koletowo of Laurel was driving home from work Sunday morning when her car went off the road at Russett Green West and Ridgemere Crossing, then into a bike path rest area.
Police say the car hit the stone bench where a man was sitting, throwing him 40 feet into the woods, and his wife and son were hit by debris. All three are listed in serious but stable condition in Baltimore hospitals. The second son was not injured.
Koletowo was pronounced dead at a local hospital. Police say they are investigating whether fatigue or a medical emergency contributed.
