Arrest in Md. deliveryman robbery
A suspect has been arrested and charged in the Sunday afternoon armed robbery of a food deliveryman in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County police said.
Curtis Godard, 20, and another suspect are accused of accosting the 30-year-old victim with a gun as he was making a food delivery in the 300 block of Highland Drive.

The suspects took the man’s cell phone, his 2010 Toyota Corolla and some cash, according to police.
After obtaining a search warrant for a residence and an arrest warrant for Godard on Tuesday night, detectives went to the residence where they saw Godard leaving. He was caught after a brief chase, police said, and evidence linking him to the robbery was found.
The investigation into the second suspect in ongoing, police said.

another case for allowing maryland citizens to carry concealed firearms....this thug will get a slap on the wrist and spend some time with all his homeys with free food and lodging on the taxpayer dime....meanwhile, all the law abiding citizens must continue to work and pay taxes without the right to arm and protect themselves and their loved one....pitiful and typical for the sorry state of maryland.

Just pathetic!
I'm from the old school where I was taught the value and pride of having a job and working hard to achieve a measure of success.
What too many of our young people are doing makes me sick! Where are the parents/guardians? All too often the "parents" are more interested in being kids themselves than being guiders and positive role models. And, 70% of children being born out of wedlock, without fathers in the home, can't be a good thing.
All of you church going folks need to do a better job of raising your kids, and yourself. I'm truly tired of seeing this. Hope this fool will be in prison for a long time!
Just pathetic!

TheChampishere: I hear the "parents" bragging on Metro about the crimes their kids have committed, like it is something to be proud of. There seems to be no interest in being a role model or seeing that their kids have a better life. You are right -- it's pathetic.

Now he'll sit in a hot jail surrounded by men for the next 20 years and all for a cellphone and a Toyota. What a fool?

Maddening that people who are working to support themselves get robbed ON THE JOB! Hopefully Godard and his accomplice will get jobs at "The Cut" in Jessup for 14 cents and hour for many years!

Wow what an idiot. Like there are THAT many guys who look like Eddie Murphy in that old SNL skit with that hair...had to be tough to spot.
20 years old and looking at many years in the can for a few bucks and a car jacking...truly brilliant.
Talk about a walking argument for abortion...

There's something very wrong about robbing someone that brings you food. I think there should be protections for delivery people (they go to strangers houses, carry cash, and have a car) in the form of increased sentences for anyone convicted of robbing a delivery person.
