Man killed in Anne Arundel crash may have been racing: Police
Anne Arundel County police say a man killed in a crash in Pasadena may have been trying to race another driver.
Police spokesman Lt. J.D. Batten says the man was driving a Chevrolet Camaro westbound on Route 100 on Sunday morning when he suddenly accelerated, in an apparent attempt to engage another motorist in a race.
Batten says the car went onto the grass median and hit a tree.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of his family.
