Man fatally shot in Severn home
A 23-year-old man was shot to death early Friday morning in an apparent home invasion in the Severn area of Anne Arundel County, authorities said.
Officers were called to the home in the 1700 block of Richfield Drive just after midnight for a report of a shooting, authorities said. They arrived to find a 23-year-old man who had been shot in the upper torso. Authorities said he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said they believe a man forced his way into the home, shot the victim and then fled. Police did not specify a motive but said the victim appears to have been targeted.
