Pedestrian killed in Anne Arundel
Evidence from a crash scene in Anne Arundel County suggests that a pedestrian struck and killed when he was hit by a GMC Sierra was intoxicated, police said Monday.
The pedestrian was wearing dark clothing and didn't use a crosswalk when he tried to cross Ridge Road in Hanover late Friday night, police said.
The Sierra, traveling north near Bear Paw Lane and driven by a 39-year-old Fort Meade man, doesn't appear to have been speeding, police said. This driver wasn't hurt.
Police identified the victim as German Velasco-Santiago, 43, of Hanover.
