Employee charged with robbing pet store
A Severn woman was arrested and charged with stealing from the store where she worked, Anne Arundel Police said Monday.
Officers responded Saturday morning to the Pet Cottage in the 600 block of Old Mill Road in Millersville in response to a report of a theft, authorities said.
Surveillance footage showed an employee entering the store at around 4:30 a.m. and taking money from the cash register, police said.
The suspect, Cammie E. Thurston, 43, was arrested at her home and charged with burglary and theft.
