Women run off Md. purse snatcher
Three women teamed up to run off a would-be purse snatcher Saturday morning in Brooklyn Park, Md., Anne Arundel County police said.
A woman was walking in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway about 10:18 a.m. when a man tried to grab her pocketbook, police said. She struggled, but the suspect didn’t relent. Soon, a second woman intervened in the fray. Then a third came from inside a nearby business.
The man fled empty-handed, police said.
A police K-9 unit canvassed the area but was unable to find him. He is described as a white male in his mid 20s, about 5’7” and 150 pounds with brown hair and a thin build. He was wearing a striped, black-and-white shirt with a collar and long, khaki shorts.
