Handcuffed man gets free, caught

A Washington state man who was sitting handcuffed in a police car on the way to jail managed to escape, according to this report:

"Lair was handcuffed behind his back at the time of escape," the report said.
Officers from multiple agencies conducted an "extensive search" of the area, but couldn't find Lair.

He was caught a few days later, according to the Longview Daily News -- which didn't say whether he still had the handcuffs on.
