Va. man charged in boy's murder
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Court records show a Virginia man already charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 22-year-old West Virginia woman is now charged with killing her 3-year-old son.
Antonio Prophet, 34, of Lorton, Va., was arrested last week in Charlotte, N.C., after being featured on “America’s Most Wanted.” The bodies of Angela Devonshire and her son, Andre White, were found in the garage of their burned-out Gerrardstown apartment June.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department delayed charging Prophet in the child’s death until the prosecutor could review the case. An arrest warrant issued last week charges him with felony murder.
Investigators believe both victims were killed before the fire was set.
