Wanted man caught in hospital gown with needle in arm
A Michigan man and robbery suspect was caught in a Pittsburgh bar wearing a hospital gown and with an IV needle in his arm, according to this report:
Elbert Lewis Thompson II, 20, was also wanted in Vandergrift when he was arrested Friday night, police said.
Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard said Mr. Thompson walked into Jr.'s Bar on Cedar Avenue. Someone there called 911 to report Mr. Thompson but he bolted as police arrived. He ran between some houses and tried to climb a wall.
After police had cornered him, he "became violent, moving in the direction of (an) officer," Ms. Richard said, and they Tasered him. He was transported back to Allegheny General Hospital and then turned over to Vandergrift police. It was unclear on what charges he was wanted on in Vandergrift.
