Would-be car thief trapped inside car, police say
A Florida man who tried to steal a car was trapped inside it when police arrived, according to this report:
The incident began at 5:40 a.m. when a watchful neighbor noticed someone trying to break into the neighbors' car in the 200 block of Southwest Kimdale Loop in Lake City, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office. The neighbor alerted the car's owners, who discovered a man sitting in their car.
"So every time he tried to get out of the car, the owners just kept hitting the lock button on their key fob, and eventually he gave up trying to get out," Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Ed Seifert said.
