Baltimore firefighter hit with child pornography charge
A Baltimore firefighter has been charged with 10 counts of possessing and distributing child pornography.
Fifty-four-year-old Philip Hodge was arrested Friday and released after posting bond. Court records show police found explicit files being shared from his computer over an online peer-to-peer network.
Police wrote in charging documents that Hodge admitted he had downloaded child porn.
Investigators in Delaware County, Pa., traced the child porn to Hodge's computer, then turned it over to Maryland authorities.
Court records show Hodge told police he used file-sharing software to download one child porn video, but investigators found numerous images on his computer.
