Murder charge in Inner Harbor death

Two years after a University of Maryland engineering student drowned in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, city police have made an arrest in his death.

Twenty-year-old Wane Black has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Ankush Gupta of Boyds.

Police say Black confessed to pushing Gupta into the water in August 2008. They say he had visited the harbor to skateboard and asked Gupta for a cigarette, then shoved him.

Police say the case had gone cold before they received a tip in July about Black's involvement.

Gupta's sister, Rajni Gupta, tells The Baltimore Sun the family is “so happy” about the arrest. She says her brother's friends saw other skateboarders nearby who claimed not to have seen anything.

Isnt if funny how when the profile of the criminal or perp fits a white person (skateboarders) there is very few comments or criticisms by bloggers? Imagine if it were a group of black kids at National harbor? All the PGCounty bashers would be in full form on this one calling the kid a thug and an animal.

Yes, it's odd how that happens.

I don't care if the perp is a combination of purple and chartreuse, he's still a punk and thug and an animal.

Want to bet on where the next shooting, stabbing, assault or robbery story takes place?
Maybe if certain minorities didn't make it so easy to make assumptions the situation would be different.
Exactly how is that the Post's or the caucasian population's fault?

Ahhh. Remember the police officer who tried to kick a bunch of punk skateboarders out of the Inner Harbor area because they were damaging the sidewalks? One of the punks filmed him and put it on Youtube and the officer was vilified for yelling at the boy.

Now we find out that a skateboarder pushed some poor guy into the water at the same place. The officer should have thrown his skateboard into the water.

"this is why when some thug ask me for a cigarette, ask s me the time of day, asks me anything, I take it as an assault on my welfare and react accordingly to remove that threat....by any means necessary... "

Yes, it makes total sense that you react not based on the facts of the current situation & the people involved, but on your understanding of the past history of other situations involving other people.

So why don't you do that with people that you don't perceive as "thugs"? You think that young black males are the only ones that have robbed, raped & killed unsuspecting people?

Sad and true.

It says a lot about their lack of character, their immaturity, their diminished manhood, and the pathetic, racist, acting out based on their false sense of superiority (which any first-year psychology student knows is driven by an inadequacy complex).

And we know who they are.
