SUV stolen in D.C. crashes in Md.
Baltimore police say a man trying to elude officers crashed a stolen SUV into three parked cars, then ran from the burning vehicles to hop on a bus, where he was arrested.
Police say the driver of the sport utility vehicle reported stolen in Washington also collided with a car Monday afternoon, causing minor damage and injuries, and ran over mailboxes before hitting the parked vehicles and catching fire.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says officers in an unmarked cruiser did not chase the stolen SUV but caught up with it “by following the path of destruction.”
Details of the charges against the man are not yet available.
