Woman attacked, raped after hiring man to shovel snow: Police
From the Associated Press: Baltimore police have arrested a man they say forced his way into a home, raped a woman and slashed her throat after he said he would shovel snow at her property.
Nineteen-year-old Donald "Doc" Vaughn of White Stone, Va., was arrested Monday morning in connection with the attack Saturday in the 800 block of Kenwood Avenue. He will be charged with first-degree rape and assault.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says the attack occurred about noon when a man knocked on the victim’s door offering to shovel snow.
The spokesman says the victim agreed, and a few minutes later, the man forced his way into a side door, raped the homeowner and cut her throat.
The woman was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital. Her condition was not known.
