Body found in burning car in D.C.

D.C. police and fire officials are investigating the death of a person whose body was found in a burning car in Southeast Washington early Monday.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the car crashed into the garage of a home in the 800 block of A Street SE. Fire officials said firefighters were called to the location for a report of a fire about 5 a.m. and found the vehicle ablaze. They then discovered the body inside.
