Man arrested for January bank robbery may be behind others: Police
A Clinton man who has been charged with a January bank robbery in Charles County may be behind several others across the region, authorities said.
Charles County Sheriff's Office detectives, along with U.S. Marshals, Prince George's County police officers and others, arrested Earl M. Pegram, 56, on Jan. 21 in Temple Hills, charging him with the Jan. 19 robbery of the M&T Bank on Mall Circle Drive.

Pegram. (Charles County Sheriff's Office).
Investigators said they found evidence linking Pegram to other area robberies, including the Dec. 22 robbery of the Old Line Center Bank at 12080 Old Line Centre in Waldorf, authorities said, and four robberies in Anne Arundel County that took place in the last three months of 2009.
In each case, Pegram entered the bank, approached a teller, implied that he had a weapon and demanded money. Nobody was injured in any of the robberies, authorities said.
There have been eight bank robberies in Maryland and Virginia since October in which the same suspect is believed to be involved, authorities said. Pegram, who authorities said was identified during the M&T robbery, is a suspect in the continuing investigation into the other robberies, they said.
