Arrests in deadly D.C. robbery
D.C. police announced the arrest of two men charged with killing an employee during the robbery of a Northeast Washington check-cashing store last week.
On Wednesday, the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Gregory Trotter, 48, of Southeast Washington, and on Thursday the task force arrested Ernest Pee, 49, of Forestville, said Officer Hugh Carew, a police spokesman.
Both men were charged with felony murder while armed, authorities said.
The men were charged in the killing of Prabhjot Singh during a robbery of the store in the 2500 block of Benning Road on June 17.
Singh, 30, was found with a gunshot wound to the head, and another man was beaten during the robbery, police said.
