Three men shot in Capitol Heights
Three men were shot Tuesday evening in the Capitol Heights area near the District border, Prince George's County police said.
Officers were called about 6:40 p.m. to Benning Road at the intersection with Marlboro Pike, said Officer Evan Baxter, a spokesman.
Two of the men were wounded in the lower extremities, and one man suffered a graze wound, Baxter said. None of the injuries was believed to be life threatening. One of those shot fled to the District border at Benning Road and Southern Avenue and flagged down a D.C. police officer, Baxter said.
Police were looking last night for three men who fled the scene in a silver Dodge, Baxter said.
