3 sought in Columbia Exxon robbery
Police in Howard County are looking for three men they believe may have robbed an Exxon station in Columbia on Monday night.
Police were called to the 10100 block of Little Patuxent Parkway at 10:26 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery, according to a Wednesday press release that included photographs of the suspects.
Three males entered the Exxon, police said: One jumped over the counter and displayed a gun, demanding money, while a second took money from a cash register and a third kept watch.
The three suspects were described as black males in their early 20s, with the following additional information:
- One was described as 5-foot-6l, of average build, and wearing a black T-shirt and hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans
- One was described as 5-foot-7 or 5-foot-8, of average build, and wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans, red shoes and a Boston Red Sox cap
- One was described as being of average build, and wearing a gray polo shirt, blue jeans and a gray Chicago White Sox hat
There were two employees in the store during the robbery, police said, but no customers.
Anyone with information is asked to call 410-313-STOP. Callers can remain anonymous; a reward of up to $500 is being offered for information.
