Four dead in incidents around Washington area

By Daniel de Vise

Three people died in separate incidents around Washington overnight, and a fourth perished in Fairfax, police said.

Henry Kelly, 20, of Southeast Washington was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting in an alley on the 3100 block of Buena Vista Terrace, SE. Police arrived about 3:30 a.m. Saturday and found Kelly unconscious, the victim of an apparent gunshot wound, according to a release.

Selina Knight, 36, died in an apparent stabbing in a residence on the 3000 block of Nelson Place, SE. Police, dispatched about 11:50 p.m. Friday, reported finding Knight unconscious and suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Details on a third fatality were not yet available.

Fairfax police do not suspect foul play in the death of an unidentified adult male whose body was found by a railroad employee at Pohick Road and Interstate 95 in Fairfax County about 10:40 p.m., according to police spokesman Bud Walker.

A crash reconstruction unit is handling the investigation, Walker said.
