Herndon man charged with rape

Montgomery County police have charged a 20-year-old Virginia man who they say befriended a 12-year-old on the Internet, picked her up at her house on Christmas night and sexually assaulted her in a parking lot, according to court records.
Jose P. Claros of Herndon was charged with second-degree rape and second-degree sex offense, court papers say.
In late December, Montgomery detectives received word that the 12-year-old had been assaulted and interviewed the girl. She said that while on Tagg.com, she received and accepted a friend request from Jose Claros, according to police charging documents. On Christmas, Claros drove to her house in Gaithersburg and picked her up, according to the documents.
When detectives questioned Claros, he said he met the girl on the Internet, according to the documents.
Claros, who was released on bond Wednesday, could not be reached for comment. Online court records indicate he does not have an attorney.

Nowhere in the story does it call the perp a kid or teen. You're an idiot.

LibertyForAll posts comments on any article starting with the same bizarre sentence about "teens'. A bit of an OCD problem.
However, this girl was 12! Where were her parents when a stange adult from another state picked her up for a night "out" (or more properly, "in") on Xmas day. I find it totally odd that they didn't have more control. Kids that age can be really rebellious, but you can't just give up and let them wander around with randvom perverts.

Those aged 18-20 are also adults and not "kids" or "teens", meaning they shouldn't be called those words. It's unfortunate that a girl has been raped by a young man but it's good that the young man has been arrested with second degree rape and must be in jail for at least seven years.
