Two men slashed in Gaithersburg

Washington Post editors

Montgomery County police were investigating a stabbing or slashing in the Gaithersburg area Thursday evening that may have involved a tire iron, officials said. Two men were taken to Suburban Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Capt. Oscar Garcia, a spokesman for the county's Fire and Rescue Service.

Garcia and police officials said two men -- possibly former roomates -- squared off in the 300 block of North Summit Avenue around 5 p.m. At least one was slashed or stabbed in the hip area, said Garcia and Officer Melanie Brenner, a spokeswoman for the Montgomery County Police Department.

One of the participants apparently enlisted a tire iron during the altercation, Garcia said.

Odds are 100 to 1 that all involved are illegal aliens.

Bet they are illegal aliens. Also bet ICE will not be called and both will walk. Immigration laws as passed by Congress are not allowed to be enforced. But God help me if I get caught doing 60 in a 55 mph zone.

About 75% of the serious crime in Gaithersburg happens in that area of North Summit.

Almost 90% of the crime and disorder in and around our communities is linked to minorities and immigrants. Just enforcing immigration laws would cut down our criminal offenses and upgrade our quality of living in these communities by a significant amount.

The 300 block of North Summit consists of apartments, the majority tenants being hispanic. I go through this area every day and, yes, the majority are hispanics.

Sometimes you really need to look at the statistics; anyways, the indivuduals involved will not turn out to be Irish guys named Duffy and O'Brian.
