Two men slashed in Gaithersburg
Montgomery County police were investigating a stabbing or slashing in the Gaithersburg area Thursday evening that may have involved a tire iron, officials said. Two men were taken to Suburban Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Capt. Oscar Garcia, a spokesman for the county's Fire and Rescue Service.
Garcia and police officials said two men -- possibly former roomates -- squared off in the 300 block of North Summit Avenue around 5 p.m. At least one was slashed or stabbed in the hip area, said Garcia and Officer Melanie Brenner, a spokeswoman for the Montgomery County Police Department.
One of the participants apparently enlisted a tire iron during the altercation, Garcia said.
