Arrest in July Northwest D.C. killing
A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder in a July shooting.
D.C. Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at 11th St. and Columbia Rd. NW at 8:31 p.m. on July 10, according to a Friday police press release.
They found Jonathan S. Estep, 24, suffering from gunshot wounds; he was taken to an area hospital, where he died.
According to previous reports, a gunman approached Estep and another pedestrian from behind and began shooting. The other pedestrian was taken to a hospital and released.
On Thursday, authorities arrested Joseph McCrae, charging him with first-degree murder while armed in Estep’s killing.
