D.C. man charged with Md. Goodwill robberies
A District man was arrested and charged with two armed robberies of a Goodwill store in Gaithersburg, according to Montgomery County Police.
The robberies, which took place on Nov. 27 and Dec. 10, had been previously covered on The Crime Scene.
Anthony M. Roland, 33, of Southeast D.C., was arrested in connection with a domestic assault and charged with first-degree assault on Jan. 4, police said. While investigating that case, authorities found information linking him to the Gaithersburg robberies, police said, and searched his home.
There, they said, they found evidence linking him to the robberies. He is being held without bond at the Montgomery County Detention Center.
