Man attempts abduction of girl outside Pr. William home

A man grabbed a 16-year-old girl outside her Bristow home on Monday morning as she went outside to meet her school bus, Prince William police said in a press release.

The man, who police said was not known to the girl, left the scene after forcing the girl back inside her home in the 9600 block of Saybrooke Drive. The girl's family dog barked, the girl screamed and the man fled in an unknown direction.

The girl was not injured during the incident, police said.

The attacker was described as a black male wearing black clothes, a ski mask and "Air Jordan" sneakers, police said. He was also carrying a black backpack.

The incident happened around 6:50 a.m., police said, and the girl reported it to an officer at her school later in the morning.
