Man's body found floating in Manassas pond
Manassas police recovered the body of a 24-year-old Manassas man from a pond near an apartment complex, the department said Friday.
After a preliminary autopsy, authorities ruled that the death of Marcus E. Hill was caused by accidental drowning. No foul play is suspected at this time, according to police.
Police visted the Brentwood apartment complex off Digges Road around 7 p.m. in response to a report of a body floating in a shallow pond.
The body was recovered around 10:30 p.m.
