The man who died after an accident at the Belmont Bay Marina in Woodbridge on June 17 has been identified as Gregory J. Gilker, 52, of Occoquan.
Police responded to the marina at 9:18 p.m. for reports of a possible drowning, according to Prince William County police.
An investigation revealed that Gilker fell off his boat and was caught beneath it; people nearby were able to get him to the dock, but attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
