Police seek suspect in D.C. Game Stop robbery
D.C. police are looking for a man they say robbed a Game Stop store in Northeast on April 9.
The man entered the store in the 1500 block of Maryland Ave. NE at around noon, police said, produced a silver handgun from a backpack and demanded money. Two store employees handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled, according to a Wednesday press release.
The suspect was described as a black male with a medium complexion, about 5' 10" tall, and wearing a "bush style" haircut.
He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, police said, and carrying a black backpack. Police released security images of the suspect.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 202-727-9099 or 1-888-919-2746. Anonymous information can be submitted through DC Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS, or via text message to the police department by texting 50411.
