Del. poor box robber surrenders
Wilmington, Del., police say a man who stole donations for the poor from a priest preparing for Mass has surrendered.
Forty-nine-year-old Eric Hubbard turned himself in to police on Thursday. Police say Hubbard robbed a priest on Sunday morning at Saint Peter's Cathedral in Wilmington just before Mass.
The priest told officers that the man implied he had a gun and demanded money. The priest handed over an envelope containing donations to the poor box and the man fled.
Hubbard has been charged with robbery and attempted robbery.
