Arrest after Springfield shooting
An 18-year-old Lorton man was arrested and charged with malicious wounding after a Saturday night shooting near a Springfield hotel.
William C. Richards, of the 7600 block of Sheffield Village Lane, was arrested Sunday and is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, Fairfax Police said in a Monday statement.

A 21-year-old D.C. man remains in a hospital in life-threatening condition at Inova Fairfax Hospital after the incident near the Courtyard Marriott Hotel at 6710 Commerce Street, police said.
